Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Skritskrat Songsiskrat (ranked 2874 p4p, 2236 weight class) and Dokuro Kunimatsu (ranked 318 p4p, 260 weight class). Songsiskrat comes into the arena with Reunion - Life Is A Rock blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the body from Kunimatsu misses
and Songsiskrat counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Songsiskrat avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kunimatsu gets a clinch.
Songsiskrat lands a hook that snaps the head of Kunimatsu backwards.
Kunimatsu tries to pull guard but Songsiskrat won't allow it.
I was talking to Songsiskrat's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Songsiskrat misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Kunimatsu is trying to pull guard but Songsiskrat has him pressed against the cage.
Songsiskrat misses with a body punch.
Songsiskrat is trying to force a seperation but Kunimatsu has the dominant position.
Songsiskrat tries to work over Kunimatsu's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Songsiskrat tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kunimatsu's elbow.

Songsiskrat escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Songsiskrat lands a jab to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Songsiskrat misses with a wild body shot.
Songsiskrat scores with a head kick. Kunimatsu tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Kunimatsu tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Songsiskrat counters with a right hand to the body.
Kunimatsu tries to clinch up but Songsiskrat circles away and keeps his distance.

Kunimatsu drives through and clinches with Songsiskrat against the cage.

Kunimatsu manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Songsiskrat knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kunimatsu on the ground.

Kunimatsu had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Songsiskrat defends it easily.

Kunimatsu has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Songsiskrat doesn't defend quickly enough and Kunimatsu has managed to lock this one up! Can Songsiskrat escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kunimatsu on a fantastic submission victory.
