Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hukkelberry Flint (ranked 2235 p4p, 5377 weight class) and Herbert Mullin (ranked 261 p4p, 500 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mullin misses the shot to the body.
Flint takes one to the chin there.

Mullin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Flint tries to counter with a takedown but Mullin is quick to defend against it.
Herbert Mullin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mullin uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Mullin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mullin wants it to stay on the feet.
Flint shoots in but no luck this time.

Flint throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mullin's waist but Mullin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Flint off to one side.

Mullin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Flint sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mullin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Flint.
Flint closes the distance and clinches up with Mullin, looking for a takedown. Flint pushes Mullin against the cage but Mullin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mullin has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Flint bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mullin's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Flint is pushing down on Mullin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mullin is fighting to maintain full guard but Flint has managed to sneak the leg through.

Flint is working for a kimura but Mullin is defending it quite comfortably.

Flint seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mullin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Flint takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Mullin stuffs the takedown attempt from Flint. Flint gets slowly back to his feet.
Flint's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mullin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Flint scrambles back to his feet.

Mullin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Flint has control of Mullin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mullin regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Flint with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mullin to score with a decent uppercut.
