Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ecce Homo (ranked 3816 p4p, 4292 weight class) and Joao Cardoso (ranked 190 p4p, 215 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Ecce Homo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Cardoso!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Homo has Cardoso up against the cage in a clinch.
Cardoso is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Homo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Homo lands a good knee to the midsection. Cardoso won't want to take too many of those.
Cardoso wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cardoso is working for takedown but Homo is calmly controlling the position for now.

Cardoso jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Homo walks away with a smile on his face. Cardoso gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
