Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sydney Raised (ranked 3794 p4p, 25174 weight class) and John Thomas (ranked 76 p4p, 110 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sydney Raised!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Raised is trying to get an arm triangle but Thomas is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Thomas's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Thomas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Raised takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Raised has taken the fight to the clinch.

Raised bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Thomas's guard.

Thomas scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Thomas lunges at Raised with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Raised's hand.

A close second round but John Thomas will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Raised needs to keep his hands up - Thomas had a free shot at his head there.

Raised stands and steps away. Thomas gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Raised fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Thomas sprawls well initially but Raised persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Raised is pressing down on Thomas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Thomas is holding on for now.
Thomas wants to improve his position but Raised is controlling well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Raised is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to John Thomas.
I think Thomas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
