PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pico Ibarra (ranked 4623 p4p, 6541 weight class) and Eric Kronke (ranked 530 p4p, 627 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eric Kronke!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Ibarra uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kronke.
Ibarra tries to counter by clinching up but Kronke breaks away and moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kronke throws a looping overhand right but Ibarra ducks down to avoid it.
Kronke uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ibarra.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kronke looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Ibarra swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Eric Kronke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ibarra bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Well Kronke has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
