Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Longo (ranked 2683 p4p, 2677 weight class) and Serge Savard (ranked 366 p4p, 365 weight class). Serge Savard has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lee Longo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Serge Savard!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longo tries to work over Savard's front leg with a kick but Savard checks it.
Lee Longo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Longo throws a leg kick
and Savard counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Savard throws a big elbow that misses.
Longo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Savard is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Longo in particular looking to stall.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Savard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Longo tries to avoid it but Savard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Longo to the ground. Longo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Longo lands a lovely overhand right.
A lazy left from Longo finds it's target.
Savard tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Savard takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Longo throws a low kick, looking for Savard's leg but Savard calmly moves out of range.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Savard.
Longo sneaks out the side door and pushes Savard away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Savard misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Longo.
Longo connects with a looping right hand.
Longo lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Savard misses with a takedown attempt - Longo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Savard takes one to the side of the head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Savard misses with a straight right.
Savard checks a low kick from Longo.
Longo works the jab nicely.
A punch combination from Longo misses.
Savard tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Longo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Savard gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Longo darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Savard shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Savard is rocked!
Longo weaves into range and cracks Savard right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Savard goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Longo is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lee Longo!
