With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stanislaw Bednarski!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galeos swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bednarski.
Bednarski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Galeos circles away quickly and effectively.
Galeos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice defenses there by Galeos.
Galeos went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Bednarski throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Galeos counters with a crisp one two that drops Bednarski! Galeos thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Bednarski to his feet! Bednarski is in big trouble!
Bednarski tries to clinch up but Galeos circles away and keeps his distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bednarski.
Bednarski fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bednarski shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Bednarski is trying hard to land a takedown here. Galeos sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Bednarski swings widly with a right hand
and Galeos counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Bednarski badly! Galeos follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Bednarski out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Galeos finished him against the ropes.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kyle Kristian Galeos!
