Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kazuki Takeda (ranked 337 p4p, 1997 weight class) and Jacks Sole (ranked 49 p4p, 280 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuki Takeda! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jacks Sole! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sole drops his hands momentarily and Takeda takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Sole clinches up with Takeda and pushes him back against the ropes. A shot in the inside from Sole. Sole misses with a short punch on the inside. Takeda's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Takeda blocks a body shot from Sole. Sole swings wildly with an uppercut but Takeda uses good head movement to avoid it. Still in the clinch, Takeda scores with a nice short uppercut. Takeda lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Sole lands a left hand that snaps the head of Takeda backwards. Sole manages to break the clinch.
Sole moves into the clinch successfully.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sole pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sole is looking to clinch. Takeda closes the distance and clinches. Takeda pulls guard successfully.
Sole tries to stand but Takeda is controlling from the bottom. Sole pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Takeda is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sole content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Takeda has locked up a guillotine! Takeda's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Sole is holding on here and Takeda must be using up a lot of energy. Sole has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Takeda gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Kazuki Takeda! Kazuki Takeda retains his middleweight title! After winning the bout, Kazuki Takeda thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Jacks Sole was interviewed post fight and said 'Shit happens, I'll learn from this.'.
