Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Primo Runduski (ranked 1888 p4p, 2730 weight class) and Pertti Palo (ranked 106 p4p, 152 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Primo Runduski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pertti Palo!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palo fails with the takedown
and Runduski counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Palo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Pertti Palo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Runduski swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Runduski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Palo was well out of range. Poor timing from Runduski.
Palo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Palo fails to land the takedown.
Primo Runduski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pertti Palo.
Palo misses with a takedown
and Runduski counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Runduski misses the shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Palo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Runduski's coaches at Gym Heroes have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Palo is chipping away with strikes.
Palo works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Palo throws a strike aimed at the side of Runduski's head but Runduski avoids it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Palo looking to control but instead Runduski has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Palo lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Runduski is pressing down on Palo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Runduski preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Palo showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Palo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Runduski working a defensive guard but Palo passes into half guard.
Palo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Palo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Runduski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Palo on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Runduski manages to get to full guard.
Runduski keeping moving, preventing Palo from controlling successfully.
Palo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Palo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Palo stays in close to Runduski's body and controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Palo misses with a takedown
and Runduski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Runduski, as that shot connected.
BOOM! Runduski lands a beautiful left hook that drops Palo. Palo tries to recover but Runduski is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Palo lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Primo Runduski!
Primo Runduski seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
