Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between DJ Perez (ranked 6351 p4p, 5590 weight class) and Onnix Collins (ranked 300 p4p, 278 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, DJ Perez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Onnix Collins! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Collins looks to clinch and Perez counters with a two punch combo. Collins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Perez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Collins's guard. Collins has momentary wrist control but Perez slips an elbow through the middle. Perez wants to control from the top but Collins keeps moving. Perez is really struggling to control Collins but he's trying to hold on to the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Collins swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perez is working Collins over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Perez tries to stand but Collins is controlling from the bottom. Perez wants to stand and escape but instead Collins has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Perez is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Collins passes Perez's left leg - he's now in half guard. Collins wants to take a breather but Perez is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Collins has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Perez defend it? Collins steps over the head and cranks it - Perez is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Collins!
