Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Landau Aisland (ranked 2188 p4p, 4451 weight class) and Fabio Castelo (ranked 259 p4p, 456 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fabio Castelo!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aisland looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Castelo is fending him off so far but Aisland persists. Nope, Castelo circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Aisland. No joy for Castelo on that attempt.
A jab from Aisland misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Aisland. Castelo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Aisland waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Castelo.
Castelo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
And Castelo tries to counter it with a takedown but Aisland pushes his down on his head and steps out.

No luck for Castelo with that takedown attempt.
Castelo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aisland sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Castelo somewhat.
Landau Aisland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabio Castelo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Landau Aisland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Castelo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Aisland drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aisland jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Aisland postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Castelo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Aisland scores with a couple of nice shots.

Aisland is keen to just control but Castelo is a slippery customer.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Castelo can do anything to dispel that myth.
