Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Gomez (ranked 4749 p4p, 4019 weight class) and Bo Hogan (ranked 532 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Gomez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bo Hogan!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez closes the distance but Hogan moves to the side
and Hogan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gomez's guard.
Hogan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Hogan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Gomez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hogan on the ground.
Hogan forces his way into half guard.
Hogan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

You can see the frustration on Gomez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hogan cracks Gomez with a big right hand but Gomez just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Hogan has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Gomez is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hogan yanks on the arm and Gomez is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hogan.
