The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shashi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Wilcox is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Shashi.
Shashi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Shashi moves out of range of the leg kick from Wilcox.
Shashi slips under a jab from Wilcox.
Shashi throws a right hand that Wilcox ducks under and follows up with a left that Wilcox also avoids with ease.
Shashi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Wilcox bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Wilcox seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Shashi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Wilcox cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wilcox throws a body shot but no joy.

Wilcox throws a sloppy head kick and Shashi moves out of range easily.

Shashi unleashes a big counter combination but Wilcox bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
No joy there for Shashi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Wilcox misses with a straight left.

Wilcox tries a head kick but it misses.
Shashi jabs at Wilcox's body.
Shashi misses with a jab, cross combination.
We've been hearing reports that Wilcox has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
