Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Msujfnaud Mspomfad (ranked 1766 p4p, 1129 weight class) and Heitor Machado (ranked 60 p4p, 32 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Msujfnaud Mspomfad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Heitor Machado!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Darius Henderson and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mspomfad gets a clinch.

Machado tightens his grip and picks Mspomfad up, before dumping him to the ground. Mspomfad manages to land in guard.

Mspomfad has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Machado can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Machado working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Machado forces his way into half guard.
Mspomfad might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Machado is thwarting Mspomfad's attempts to control the position.
Machado seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mspomfad's coaches at Punch Out Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Still in half guard, Machado seems content to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Mspomfad throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Machado's waist but Machado gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mspomfad off to one side.

Mspomfad drops down looking for an ankle pick but Machado pulls his leg out and moves away.

Mspomfad working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mspomfad throws an elbow that misses. Machado uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mspomfad's guard. Nice move by Machado!

Mspomfad has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Machado is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mspomfad.

Machado shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mspomfad pinned against the cage. Mspomfad gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Well Machado has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
