Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rudy Beckwith (ranked 1736 p4p, 2888 weight class) and Eh Phuthong (ranked 99 p4p, 164 weight class). Rudy Beckwith had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rudy Beckwith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eh Phuthong! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beckwith manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Phuthong on his heels. He'll look to pass Phuthong's guard now, I'm sure. Phuthong is wriggling around but Beckwith manages to pass to half guard.
Beckwith wants to take a breather but Phuthong is having none of it. Phuthong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beckwith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Phuthong trying to hold on to Beckwith's head to control him but Beckwith postures up.
Beckwith prevents Phuthong from standing back up.
Beckwith tries to pass to full mount but Phuthong defends it. Phuthong is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Phuthong makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Some wild striking there from Phuthong.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phuthong throws a body shot but no joy. Phuthong scores with a hook. Beckwith moves to clinch but Phuthong breaks away and Phuthong counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Phuthong slaps away a takedown attempt from Beckwith, before circling back to the center of the mat. Phuthong is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Beckwith. Beckwith seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Eh Phuthong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Phuthong throws a body shot but no joy. Beckwith wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Phuthong misses with a left hand and Beckwith counters by moving into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beckwith successfully pulls guard.
Beckwith keeping moving, preventing Phuthong from controlling successfully. Phuthong wants to get up but he can't break Beckwith's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Beckwith looking for a guillotine here but Phuthong defends easily.
Beckwith looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Phuthong is defending well. Beckwith quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Phuthong has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Beckwith celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
