Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Dye (ranked 679 p4p, 1570 weight class) and Neil Parker (ranked 100 p4p, 214 weight class). Parker has chosen Bring Me The Horizon - Obey as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Dye! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Neil Parker! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker throws a poor cross that misses
and Dye counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Dye misses with a hook. Parker thuds a left hand into Dye's body. Parker misses with a wild body shot. Dye throws a body punch but Parker moves out of range. Parker throws out a counter right but Dye avoids it with no problem. Dye ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Parker moves away. Dye definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Parker scores with a jab to the body. Parker misses with a left hand and Dye counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parker misses with a shot to the body and Dye counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Parker misses with a hook
letting Dye counter with a right hand. Dye walks into a straight right hand from Parker. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Good shot there by Dye.
It looks like Neil Parker has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dye looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Parker misses with a left hand and Dye cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Dye avoids the body shot from Parker.
Parker connects with a body shot that sends Dye's belly button to the back. A big left from Parker misses. Dye is looking to counter punch. Parker misses with a left hand and Dye counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A looping hook to the body misses from Parker. Dye does a little dance to reset his feet. Parker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dye.
Parker looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Dye gets a clinch. Dye tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Dye.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. A shot in the inside from Dye. Dye scores with a shoulder strike. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A short body shot lands from Dye as the two fighters clinch.
Dye tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Dye lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A frustrated look appears on Parker's face as he tries to break the clinch. Parker struggles to land a body shot inside as Dye controls his hands.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dye creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Parker has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jack Dye dominated that round. The cut man is working on Neil Parker's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Dye slips under a jab. It looked like Dye was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Parker. Dye takes a shot to the body in his stride.

and Dye makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Parker swings widly with a right hand
and Dye counters with a lovely straight right hand! Dye rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Parker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Good shot there by Dye.
Parker is rocked! Parker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dye was well out of range. Poor timing from Parker. Parker avoids the body shot from Dye.

Parker waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dye. Parker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dye. A left lands for Dye. Parker is still on wobbly legs! Can Dye finish him? Parker wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Parker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dye was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Parker seems to have recovered his senses. Neil Parker seems to be getting the better of the standup. Parker scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Parker throws a lazy uppercut
and Dye counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. A shot to the body from Parker misses and Dye cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Parker takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Parker walks into a jab. Parker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dye just misses with a punch to the body.
A nice side step and Parker releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Parker throws a lazy uppercut
and Dye connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Nice straight punches there by Parker. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Parker. Neil Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parker swings widly with a right hand
and Dye counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Dye swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dye throws a lazy right hand but Parker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Parker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dye looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Dye is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Parker can do to turn this around? Dye avoids the body shot from Parker.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. and Parker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Parker throws a right hand that misses
and Dye counters with a lovely straight right hand! Dye looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. A looping hook to the body misses from Parker. Dye does a little dance to reset his feet. Parker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dye circles away quickly and effectively.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice uppercut lands for Dye. That snapped Parker's head back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dye slips a jab and a cross from Parker.

and Dye counters with a lovely shot to the body. Dye connects with a good right hand that stumbles Parker. Parker circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Parker misses with a right hand and Dye counters with a huge left! Parker is in big trouble! He's backing up but Dye isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Parker from any more damage. A dominating finish by Dye!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Dye! Jack Dye retains his welterweight title! After winning the bout, Jack Dye thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
