Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Steven (ranked 24415 p4p, 23448 weight class) and Greg Bustack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bustack gets caught napping as Steven dives in and scores a takedown. Bustack manages to retain guard.
Steven trying to move into half guard but instead Bustack has managed to sweep!

Bustack drops back looking for a leg! Steven is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Steven manages to kick Bustack off! Bustack jumps back into Steven's guard.

Bustack passes into half guard.
Steven lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bustack prevents Steven from improving his position.

Bustack looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Steven tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Steven knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bustack on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steven has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bustack is working away from the top position though.

Bustack has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Steven defend it? Bustack steps over the head and cranks it - Steven is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bustack!
