Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Colby Brown (ranked 1635 p4p, 2394 weight class) and Robby Fowel (ranked 92 p4p, 132 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Colby Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Robby Fowel!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fowel, pushing him back against the cage.

Brown gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Fowel regains guard.
Brown definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Fowel pulls Brown in close to prevent any damage.
Fowel keeping full guard, as Brown tries to pass.

Fowel is looking for a triangle but Brown pushes his legs off easily.
Fowel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Brown looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Fowel has his foot on Brown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brown works his way back into a safe position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown is looking to pass into half guard but Fowel pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Fowel is in guard.

Brown has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fowel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brown isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Fowel stacks Brown on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Fowel!

Fowel drops back looking for a leg! Brown is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brown manages to kick Fowel off! Fowel jumps back into Brown's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Colby Brown will probably get the nod.
