Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Old Leg Tartakov (ranked 295 p4p, 1851 weight class) and Thomas Isle (ranked 50 p4p, 265 weight class). Thomas Isle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Thomas Isle!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tartakov.
Isle misses with a straight right.
Tartakov appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Tartakov throws the left hand but Isle avoids the punch easily.
Isle misses with an uppercut.
Isle waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tartakov.
Tartakov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Isle circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tartakov misses with a low kick.
Isle looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Isle throws a shot from downtown. Tartakov moves away and avoids it.
Isle gets caught flat footed, as Tartakov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Isle trying to keep a closed guard but Tartakov is proving a slippery customer.

Tartakov wants to pass the guard but Isle is keeping the position.
Tartakov trying to control the position from guard on top but Isle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Isle wants to stand and escape but Tartakov is having none of it.
Isle keeping moving, preventing Tartakov from controlling successfully.
Tartakov lands a couple of elbows.
It looks like Thomas Isle has been cut.
Tartakov pushing down on Isle's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Isle is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Isle avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tartakov.
Isle looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tartakov lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Tartakov is taking a breather. Isle says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Tartakov prevents Isle from improving his position.
Tartakov moves into full mount! Isle won't be happy about that!

Tartakov lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Isle hang on?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tartakov is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Tartakov with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Tartakov thowing shots but they're missing.
Isle holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Tartakov tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Tartakov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tartakov has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Isle's face.

Isle wants to control but Tartakov is having none of it.
Isle wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Tartakov.
Tartakov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Isle looks a forlorn figure.
The cut above Thomas Isle's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Tartakov landing punches.
Thomas Isle's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Thomas Isle's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
