Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chan Siam (ranked 197 p4p, 155 weight class) and Rukter Demenok (ranked 32 p4p, 24 weight class). Demenok is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Moby Dick Speech. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chan Siam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rukter Demenok!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siam tries to clinch up.
Demenok looks to land a combination but Siam avoids it well.
Siam takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Demenok has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Demenok fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Siam has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Siam with a poor takedown
and Demenok counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Demenok lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Siam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Demenok throws a jab but it's blocked by Siam.
Siam is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Demenok misses with a hook.
Siam tries to clinch up.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Siam checks a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Siam throws a lazy right hand but Demenok sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Siam tries to clinch up but Demenok circles away and keeps his distance.
Demenok ducks under a wild hook from Siam.

Siam closes the distance and clinches.
Siam lands with a short head shot on the inside.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Siam is trying to pull guard but Demenok has him pressed against the cage.

Siam turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Siam manages to end up in side control.
Siam is working Demenok over with some ground and pound from side control.
Demenok tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Siam wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Demenok, who protects the arm well.
Demenok struggling a bit here.
Siam is looking to take a break and control but Demenok is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Siam landing strikes.
An elbow from Siam crashes against the mat.
Siam advances nicely into full mount.
Demenok really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Siam. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Siam trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Siam throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Demenok can't escape the position.
Demenok is bucking up trying to escape but Siam cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Siam throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Demenok has his hands clasped together but Siam breaks the hold and Demenok is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Siam!
