Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hoshifumi Nagasa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jaylen Fatukasi!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nagasa tries to clinch there but Fatukasi circles away.
Fatukasi unleashes a big counter combination but Nagasa bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Fatukasi scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Nagasa misses with an attempted mid kick.

Fatukasi clinches up with Nagasa and pushes him back against the ropes.
Come on Fatukasi - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Fatukasi.
Fatukasi using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Nagasa has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nagasa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Fatukasi paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Hoshifumi Nagasa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fatukasi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fatukasi jabs Nagasa to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Fatukasi rushes Nagasa and presses him up against the ropes.

Fatukasi lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Nagasa goes down! The ref sends Fatukasi to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Nagasa is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!

Fatukasi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Fatukasi clips Nagasa with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Nagasa a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
