Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Qing Wu (ranked 5723 p4p, 6692 weight class) and Brian Ripper (ranked 603 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Qing Wu has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Qing Wu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brian Ripper!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Ripper. Beautiful body shot.
Wu throws a series of punches but Ripper avoids them all with ease.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ripper! But no joy.
Ripper throws a head kick but Wu moves out of range.
Ripper misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wu scores with a jab to the head.
Ripper throws a sloppy head kick and Wu moves out of range easily.
Wu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ripper.
Wu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ripper. Ripper circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Ripper misses with a hook.
Ripper misses with a head kick.
Ripper takes one to the side of the head.

It looks like Brian Ripper has been cut.

Wu closes the distance and pushes Ripper back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ripper pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wu scores with a hook to the body. Ripper takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Ripper misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wu bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ripper's head backwards.
Ripper lands with a thumping leg kick.

Wu lands a big right hand that sends Ripper crashing to the mat! Wu stays standing though and waves Ripper back to his feet!

Ripper is rocked!
Ripper walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Ripper limp body while Wu jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Qing Wu!
Qing Wu decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
