Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Minoari Amida (ranked 514 p4p, 652 weight class) and Raminus Polus (ranked 75 p4p, 90 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polus scores with a shot to the body.
Polus throws a body shot but no joy.
A telegraphed right hand from Polus misses the target.
Polus just misses with a punch to the body.
Polus lands with a hook. Amida tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Amida lands with a hook. Polus tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Amida with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Polus to score with a decent uppercut.
Polus dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Amida fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Polus has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Amida moves out of range of the leg kick from Polus.
Amida needs to keep his hands up - Polus had a free shot at his head there.

Polus throws a hook but Amida blocks it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Polus has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Polus gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Raminus Polus has been cut.
A nice leg kick lands there from Amida.
Amida looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Polus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Amida manages to avoid it.
Amida lands a leg kick that knocks Polus off balance momentarily.
Amida bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Amida fires out a quick counter leg kick but Polus just manages to avoid it.

Amida throws a leg kick but Polus sees it coming and moves out of range.
Polus tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Polus gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Polus lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Amida or not.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Polus struggles to land a body shot inside as Amida controls his hands.
Polus is looking for a takedown.
Polus swings wildly with an uppercut but Amida uses good head movement to avoid it.
Polus misses with a punch on the inside.
Polus drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Amida gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Amida goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Polus lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Amida.
Polus makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Amida tries to throw a body punch but Polus avoids it by throwing Amida back against the cage.

Amida pushes Polus back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Polus has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Amida clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Polus looking for the choke but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Amida is trying to defend against the choke here but Polus has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Polus Tightens the hold and Amida taps out furiously! Polus displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
