Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Del Fuegos (ranked 2870 p4p, 2925 weight class) and Fela Kuti (ranked 376 p4p, 385 weight class). Kuti comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Expensive Shit kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fela Kuti!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuti just misses with a punch to the body.
Kuti throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Del Fuegos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Del Fuegos fails with the takedown.
Del Fuegos cracks a nice hook into Kuti's ribs.
Kuti digs a good body shot into Del Fuegos's ribs.
Del Fuegos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kuti sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Del Fuegos somewhat.
Del Fuegos comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kuti lands a nice looking body shot.
Del Fuegos takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Diego Del Fuegos has been cut.

Kuti uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Del Fuegos.

Kuti lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Del Fuegos shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kuti defends it nicely.

Del Fuegos shoots in for a takedown but Kuti shows good takedown defense.
Kuti swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Kuti is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Del Fuegos takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kuti comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Del Fuegos dives in and grabs Kuti's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kuti pushes down on Del Fuegos's head and hops out.
Fela Kuti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Del Fuegos is looking to clinch but Kuti is avoiding it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kuti! But no joy.
Kuti fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Del Fuegos appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Kuti looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
We've been informed that Kuti has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Del Fuegos slips under a jab.
Del Fuegos drives through and clinches with Kuti against the cage.
Del Fuegos blocking some punches.
Del Fuegos swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Del Fuegos is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Del Fuegos works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Del Fuegos wants to control from the top but Kuti keeps moving.
Del Fuegos is fighting to break Kuti's control of his arms but Kuti is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Del Fuegos controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Del Fuegos is looking to pass into half guard but Kuti pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Kuti is in guard.
Del Fuegos pulls Kuti in close to his closed guard and prevents Kuti from doing any damage or advancing position.
Kuti has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Del Fuegos is proving hard to escape from.

Del Fuegos is working an open guard so Kuti takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Del Fuegos throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Some bone on bone action there as Kuti checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kuti bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Del Fuegos's head.
Kuti has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Del Fuegos drops his hands momentarily and Kuti takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Del Fuegos tries to clinch
and Kuti counters with a straight right hand.
Kuti takes a swing at Del Fuegos's ribcage but misses.
Kuti throws a good cross that connects.
Del Fuegos is rocked!

Del Fuegos gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Kuti gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
