Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Rivera (ranked 93 p4p, 60 weight class) and Joseph Stalinovich (ranked 16 p4p, 12 weight class). Rivera's entrance music is BAD COMPANY. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Stalinovich's choice of entrance music: Hell March. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Francis DeMontford.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Rivera.
Rivera circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rivera swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Stalinovich has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rivera.
Stalinovich misses with a wild body shot.
Stalinovich misses with the combination.
Stalinovich defending well as Rivera loads up on a big left hand.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stalinovich throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rivera half committed to a counter leg kick.
Rivera feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Stalinovichs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Stalinovich connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rivera.
A little jabbing left from Stalinovich on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Rivera throws a leg kick but Stalinovich moved away.
Good standup being displayed there by Rivera as he connects with a hook.

Stalinovich forces Rivera back against the cage and clinches.
Stalinovich can't find room to land a body shot as Rivera controls the action.
Rivera doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Rivera misses with the head strike.
Stalinovich tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rivera scores with a shot to the side of Stalinovich's head.
Stalinovich tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
We've been informed that Stalinovich has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Rivera pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rivera throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Stalinovich crashing down! Stalinovich tries to stagger back to his feet but Rivera just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Stalinovich asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
