The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montrose wants to clinch
and Gill counters with a single leg into guard. Montrose didn't expect that.
Montrose can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gill controls the pace.
Gill slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Gill controls the position from side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gill tries to move into full mount but can't pass Montrose's legs.
