And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 4 losses; Kevin Walters!

Horrible takedown attempt by Boesku or perhaps it was just good defense by Walters, which made it look bad.
Walters closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Boesku (0) vs (2) Walters
Walters wants to take a breather but Boesku is having none of it.
We've been hearing good reports from Boesku's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Boesku is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Walters looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Walters wants to work for an arm triangle but Boesku is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Walters told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Boesku looking to break Walters's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Walters remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Boesku will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Walters drops back looking for a leg! Boesku is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boesku manages to kick Walters off! Walters jumps back into Boesku's guard.
Boesku bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Walters's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Boesku (6) vs (4) Walters
Boesku looking to improve position, pressing down on Walters's thigh with his hand. Walters seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Boesku paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Boesku's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Walters picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
