PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jach Bresnar (ranked 1374 p4p, 2046 weight class) and Uestus Johnston (ranked 176 p4p, 248 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Johnston's choice of entrance music: Clint Eastwood- Gorillaz. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jach Bresnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Uestus Johnston!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close round but I would say that Jach Bresnar will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close second round but I would say that Jach Bresnar will probably get the nod.

Johnston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bresnar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Johnston is desperately trying to improve his position but Bresnar has a good base and remains in mount.
Bresnar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
