This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 25 wins and 18 losses; Kurt Diesel! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 14 losses; Andy Bangsit!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Bangsit stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bangsit wants it to stay on the feet.
Bangsit with the counter takedown but Diesel avoids it easily.
Bangsit leaves Diesel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bangsit tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Diesel fails with the takedown.

Diesel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bangsit but Bangsit pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bangsit with the counter takedown but Diesel avoids it easily.
Diesel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bangsit's waist but Bangsit gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diesel off to one side.

Diesel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bangsit defends well.

Bangsit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diesel swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Diesel pulls Bangsit in close to his closed guard and prevents Bangsit from doing any damage or advancing position.
Bangsit looking to sit in guard and control but Diesel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bangsit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Diesel wants to pass the guard but Bangsit is defending well.

Diesel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bangsit does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Diesel looking to take Bangsit's back but Bangsit rolls and after a scramble, Bangsit ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Bangsit to escape a tricky position.

Bangsit is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Bangsit uses his free foot to push down on Diesel's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Diesel.

Bangsit wants to take his opponent's back but Diesel doesn't allow it.

Bangsit wants to control the pace but Diesel is squirming around nicely.

Diesel stops Bangsit from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Bangsit is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Bangsit takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Bangsit pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

Diesel tries to hold on but Bangsit postures up.
Diesel is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Bangsit looking to control but Diesel is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Diesel tries to improve his position but Bangsit has taken his back! Bangsit has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Diesel tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Bangsit pushes Diesel away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
