CWC 301 - Prelims PBP Commentary |

The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Dee gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Dee drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Toehold gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Toehold is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dee has escaped the position, nice work there. Toehold works to advance to full mount. Dee defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Score +2 for reaching mount: Toehold (6) vs (0) Dee
Toehold goes for an armbar but Dee turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Dee. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Toehold (6) vs (2) Dee
Dee avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Dee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Toehold working a defensive guard but Dee manages to pass into side control anyway.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Dee tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Dee trying to control the action but Toehold is working from the bottom. Toehold is trying to improve his position. Toehold manages to work his way to half guard, despite Dee's best efforts. Dee performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Dee tries to pass the half guard into mount. Toehold knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Toehold moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Toehold is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Dee lying in Toehold's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Toehold decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Dee taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
