CWC 301 - Prelims PBP Commentary |
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 7 losses; Bogdan Kersikov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 6 losses; Bubba Rolls!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Kersikov tries to keep at a distance but Rolls has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kersikov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rolls swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rolls reaches up to try and control the position but Kersikov seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Rolls rolls and tries to escape and now Kersikov has his back!

Rolls is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Kersikov off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Kersikov seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Rolls escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kersikov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Our spies down at at Cloud9 inform us that Rolls has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
