Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Trainer Wrestle!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wrestle closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wrestle trying to control from half guard but Burns is working away.
The fighters are battling for position here. Burns manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Wrestle throws a big right hand that misses.
Burns is trying to control the position but Wrestle postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wrestle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Wrestle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Burns is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wrestle in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Burns misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Burns throws a solid leg kick but Wrestle takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Burns.
Burns lands a head kick. Wrestle smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Trainer Wrestle has been cut.

Wrestle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Burns utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Wrestle is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Wrestle changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Burns looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Wrestle is trying to ground and pound but Burns uses the momentary lack of control by Wrestle to regain half guard.
Burns wants to control but Wrestle is keeping busy.
Burns is not content to let Wrestle control the position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wrestle lands a nice short elbow.

Wrestle missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Wrestle looks to land a strike but Burns avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Burns is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Burns working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wrestle.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wrestle trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Burns manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Trainer Wrestle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Wrestle looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wrestle prevents Burns from standing back up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wrestle is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Brian Burns has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Trainer Wrestle is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Wrestle takes the fight into the clinch.
Burns with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A head punch on the inside from Wrestle fails to land.
Burns tries to land a knee to the head but Wrestle blocks with his arms.

Wrestle avoiding damage as Burns throws knees to the body.
Wrestle is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Burns gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Burns gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wrestle.

Burns is fighting off a takedown attempt but Wrestle is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Burns to the mat. Burns regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Wrestle stays in close to Burns's body and controls the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wrestle working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Burns's head.

Trainer Wrestle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Wrestle winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
