Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bon Adrien De Moncey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chuck Norris!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Moncey misses with a takedown

and Norris holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
De Moncey tries to pull guard but Norris forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Bon Adrien De Moncey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Norris moves into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bon Adrien De Moncey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
De Moncey is trying to stall.
Norris wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but De Moncey has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Moncey has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Norris avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Norris breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
De Moncey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Norris's waist but Norris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing De Moncey off to one side.
Despite the aggression on Norris's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Norris displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from De Moncey.

De Moncey has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Norris.

Some bone on bone action there as De Moncey checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
De Moncey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Norris pinned against the cage. Norris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And Norris tries to counter it with a takedown but De Moncey pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Norris fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
De Moncey doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Norris counters with a nice uppercut.
Norris is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
De Moncey takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

De Moncey will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
De Moncey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Norris tries to avoid it but De Moncey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Norris to the ground. Norris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Norris wants to counter with a clinch but De Moncey pushes him away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! De Moncey crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Norris - the referee stops the clock and De Moncey gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Norris. De Moncey manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
De Moncey is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A nice leg kick from Norris, right into the meat of the thigh.
De Moncey has his takedown stuffed
and Norris counters with a straight right hand.

De Moncey is rocked!
We've been informed that Norris has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Norris fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Oh De Moncey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Norris is looking to slow De Moncey down with leg kicks.
Norris batters De Moncey with a massive right followed by a huge left! De Moncey is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Norris lands a final crushing right hand to drop De Moncey to the mat with a gruesome thud! Norris is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Chuck Norris!
A pretty intense looking Chuck Norris took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
