Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Steel (ranked 2521 p4p, 3419 weight class) and Ralph Long (ranked 332 p4p, 431 weight class). Ralph Long is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ralph Long!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Steel lands.
Ralph Long seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steel fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Steel lands a lovely overhand right.
Steel getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Long takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Long throws a leg kick but Steel moved away.
Long has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Long takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Long throws a sloppy head kick and Steel moves out of range easily.

Long clinches.
Steel stalling in the clinch but Long improves position.

Steel manages to break the clinch.
That kick from Long tenderised Steel's leg. Steel is trying to keep his angry face on.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Steel connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Long's hands.
Steel ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Steel is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Steel lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Long at a distance.
Long throws a right and a left that Steel avoids nicely.
Steel throwing a counter right hand but Long manages to avoid it.
Long walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Long tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Steel on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Long. Long obviously looking to wear him down.
Jab, jab by Steel - just one landing.
Long throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Long throws a sloppy head kick and Steel moves out of range easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steel scores with a jab. Long acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Long takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Long tries to land a leg kick but Steel saw it coming and moves away.
Steel scores with a jab to the head.
Steel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Steel lands a head shot.
Long tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Steel paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Long is looking to clinch but Steel is avoiding it.
Steel scores with a shot to the body.
Long throws a poor cross that misses
and Steel counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Long fails to land with a series of punches.
Steel scores with a nice head shot.
A head kick misses from Long.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Decent striking displayed by Steel there.
Long tries to clinch but Steel moves out of range.
Steel fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Steel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Long throws a series of punches but Steel avoids them all with ease.
Long changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steel tries to avoid it but Long manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steel to the ground. Steel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Steel clobbers Long with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Steel lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Long keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Long defending well as Steel loads up on a big left hand.
Steel is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Nice uppercut lands for Steel. That snapped Long's head back.
Steel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Long.
Steel waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Long.
Steel catches Long with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Long uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Steel.
Long throws out a leg kick but Steel moves out of range and Long only half commits.
Long on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Nice uppercut lands for Steel. That snapped Long's head back.

Long is rocked!
Steel throws a monster overhand right that drops Long! Steel follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Steel!
Daniel Steel seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
