Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ali Dixon (ranked 1580 p4p, 2366 weight class) and Hill Billy Hank (ranked 235 p4p, 320 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ali Dixon!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hill Billy Hank!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hank.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hank working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Hank looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Dixon is avoiding damage well.

Hank tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hank wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dixon keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hank can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dixon is looking to escape.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Dixon tries to throw a body punch but Hank avoids it by throwing Dixon back against the cage.
Hank blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hank gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dixon.
Hank can't find room to land a body shot as Dixon controls the action.
Hank is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dixon is defending well for now.
Dixon throws a punch but it's blocked by Hank.
Dixon is looking to break free of the clinch but Hank has double underhooks.
Hank misses with a hook to the ribs.

Hank pushes Dixon back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Hank goes for a takedown attempt but Dixon pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Hank ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Hank shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dixon's guard.
Hank won't allow Dixon to sweep him here.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dixon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hill Billy Hank showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The crowd cheers as Dixon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hank doesn't seem phased though.
Hank dives in for a single leg takedown but Dixon sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Hill Billy Hank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Dixon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dixon works the jab nicely.
Hank slips under a jab from Dixon.
Dixon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hank.

Dixon lands a big uppercut and Hank crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hank looks OK. Dixon waves Hank back to his feet!

Dixon lands a nice hook to Hank's body. Hank takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hank takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hank rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dixon counters with a straight right hand.
Dixon closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Hank! Dixon dives in looking to finish! Hank is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ali Dixon!

A relieved looking Ali Dixon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Hill Billy Hank stepped up to the mic, saying 'Beats going hungry '.
