And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Albano Lucas!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Podric throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A swing and a miss from Lucas.
Podric changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Lucas just misses with a punch to the body.
Podric drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lucas sprawls and moves away.
Lucas scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Podric drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A jab from Lucas does it's job there.
Lucas cracks Podric with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Podric looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Lucas finish him?
Podric is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lucas is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Podric flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Podric is out cold! Lucas holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Albano Lucas!
In defeat, Titoxo Podric stepped up to the mic, saying 'Nevermind'.
