Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Torhte Finlayson (ranked 8 p4p, 708 weight class) and Tama Ruiha (ranked 1 p4p, 105 weight class). Finlayson comes into the arena with Scotland the Brave, Black Bear blaring out of the sound system. Ruiha has chosen Polynesian Traditional Music as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finlayson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Finlayson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Finlayson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ruiha.
Finlayson misses with an uppercut.
Ruiha appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Ruiha throws an overhand right that lands on Finlayson's shoulder, as Finlayson tries to avoid the shot.
Finlayson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ruiha's coach down at London MMA Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ruiha's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Finlayson misses the shot to the body.
Ruiha swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Finlayson lunges at Ruiha with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ruiha's hand.
It looks like Tama Ruiha has been cut.
Finlayson cracks Ruiha with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ruiha swings for the body but Finlayson moves out of range.

Ruiha catches Finlayson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Ruiha takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That has opened up Tama Ruiha's cut even more.
Finlayson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ruiha blocks a jab.
Ruiha slips a straight right by Finlayson.
Finlayson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The cut above Tama Ruiha's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Ruiha darts in and clinches Finlayson up against the cage.
Ruiha can't break the clinch.
Ruiha has had enough of the clinch but Finlayson keeps him there for the moment.
Finlayson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ruihas head.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Finlayson.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Finlayson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ruiha backwards.

Tama Ruiha's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Finlayson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tama Ruiha's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

A relieved looking Torhte Finlayson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
