Emelianenko comes to the cage accompanied by Mala Dama - Kabat. Sakala has chosen Pole Pole as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roman Emelianenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yannick Sakala! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko throws a body punch but Sakala moves out of range. Sakala is looking for the big counter here. Emelianenko loads up on a big right hand but Sakala slips the punch. Despite the aggression on Sakala's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. It looks like Roman Emelianenko has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sakala scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Emelianenko misses with a low kick. We've been told by Emelianenko's head coaches at Xtreme Black House that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A looping hook to the body misses from Sakala. Emelianenko does a little dance to reset his feet. Sakala has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Emelianenko throws a jab when Sakala was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sakala scores with a jab. Emelianenko acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Sakala throws a big shot that misses. Emelianenko misses with a straight left. Sakala follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
