Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ian Gary Iii (ranked 4273 p4p, 25303 weight class) and Willy Nilly (ranked 488 p4p, 647 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ian Gary Iii! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Willy Nilly! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gary Iii gets tackled into the cage by Nilly. Nilly maintains the clinch. Nilly jumps guard.

Nilly might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gary Iii haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Nilly looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gary Iii is one step ahead there. Gary Iii has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nilly is proving hard to escape from. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nilly throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Nilly escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gary Iii gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Nilly controls Gary Iii momentarily but Gary Iii frees himself.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nilly moves into the clinch successfully.
Gary Iii breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nilly drives through and clinches with Gary Iii against the cage.
Nilly ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nilly no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nilly wants to sweep here but Gary Iii controlling him for the moment. Gary Iii postures up.
Nilly thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Nilly is looking to stand up but Gary Iii isn't so interested in that idea. Gary Iii wants to get up but he can't break Nilly's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Nilly trying to control the position.
Nilly has his foot on Gary Iii's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gary Iii works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Gary Iii enables Nilly to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gary Iii manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Nilly trying to control but Gary Iii is working from the bottom. Gary Iii knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nilly on the ground. Nilly postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Gary Iii is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Nilly trying to control the position from guard on top but Gary Iii is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nilly trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Nilly trying to control but Gary Iii is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ian Gary Iii is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nilly has closed the distance and engaged Gary Iii in a clinch.
Gary Iii manages to break the clinch.
Nilly fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gary Iii, pushing him back against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gary Iii escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nilly closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gary Iii did well to prevent Nilly getting side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Willy Nilly dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nilly looking for a takedown here - he's got it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nilly accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Nilly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gary Iii swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nilly trying to control the position from guard on top but Gary Iii is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Willy Nilly has got the better of the ground game so far. Nilly loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Gary Iii explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Nilly rushes Gary Iii and presses him up against the cage. Gary Iii breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nilly instigates a clinch.

Nilly fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gary Iii to the ground. Nilly is now in Gary Iii's guard. Nilly is breathing heavily. Nilly prevents Gary Iii from getting back to his feet. Nilly trying to control the position from guard on top but Gary Iii is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nilly throwing strikes but missing. Gary Iii wants to get back to his feet but Nilly passes into half guard.

Gary Iii pushes Nilly away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Nilly gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Willy Nilly showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Nilly misses with a shot to the body and Gary Iii counters with a big head kick but Nilly shrugs it off. Nilly clinches up against the cage. Gary Iii's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nilly drives through with a takedown into Gary Iii's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Gary Iii wants to stand and escape but Nilly is having none of it. Gary Iii wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Nilly manages to pass to side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nilly not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gary Iii won't allow Nilly to pass to mount. Nilly is looking to take a break and control but Gary Iii is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nilly passes the guard and advances to mount! Nilly tries to control but Gary Iii wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nilly won't let Gary Iii get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Nilly wants to control the pace but Gary Iii is squirming around nicely. Gary Iii is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gary Iii is squirming around, avoiding Nilly's attempts to control the action. Gary Iii bucks up and throws Nilly to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape! Nilly moves into range and clinches up with Gary Iii. Nilly's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gary Iii tries to keep at a distance but Nilly has taken the fight into the clinch. Nilly has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gary Iii regains guard immediately. The fighters are working up against the cage. Gary Iii manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Nilly takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Gary Iii pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nilly shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nilly showed some decent athleticism there. Gary Iii manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Nilly keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Nilly drags the fight down to the ground.
Gary Iii stands up from guard. Let's bang! Ian Gary Iii has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Willy Nilly is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Gary Iii avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Willy Nilly. I've got Nilly winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
