Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean-Claude Marceau (ranked 4 p4p, 512 weight class) and Rick Piano (ranked 1 p4p, 73 weight class). Marceau comes into the arena with Feist - Tout Doucement blaring out of the sound system. Piano has chosen Rick Piano Man as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 44 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean-Claude Marceau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 48 - 20 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rick Piano ! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piano keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A big right from Marceau misses. Marceau lands with a right hand. Piano lands a lovely overhand right. Marceau tries to land a front kick but Piano steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Piano now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Marceau throws a body punch but Piano moves out of range. Piano counters with a body kick. Marceau smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marceau misses with an uppercut. Piano appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. A right-left combo lands from Marceau. Piano uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Marceau.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piano avoids a punch combination nicely.
A jab from Marceau does it's job there. Piano ducks under a wild hook from Marceau. Both fighters circling a little - Marceau finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Marceau lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Piano connects with a body shot. Marceau misses with a right hand and Piano counters with a left to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piano blocks the body kick.
Marceau lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Piano with a body punch. A glancing blow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Piano lands with a straight right. Marceau didn't see that one coming.
It looks like Jean-Claude Marceau has been cut. Marceau looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Marceau fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Piano manages to avoid it. A countering left hand to the body from Piano misses. Piano shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Marceau throws a body punch but Piano moves out of range. Piano moves out of range as Marceau strikes. A looping hook to the body misses from Piano . Marceau does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Piano lands with a good body shot. Marceau misses with a wild body shot. A countering left hand to the body from Piano misses. A low kick lands for Piano .
Marceau takes a swing at Piano 's ribcage but misses. Marceau misses with a looping left. Marceau throws a shot from downtown. Piano moves away and avoids it. Piano lands a nice looking body kick. Piano cracks a nice hook into Marceau's ribs. Marceau misses with a looping right. A countering left hand to the body from Piano misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marceau fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Piano manages to avoid it. Piano now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Marceau throws a lazy uppercut
and Piano makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Marceau throws a looping overhand right but Piano ducks down to avoid it. Marceau tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Piano lands a big head kick that sends Marceau tumbling to the mat! Piano takes a step backwards and waves Marceau back to his feet - he wants the finish! This has been an exciting period of action! Marceau throws an off balance right hand
and Piano counters with a lovely shot to the body. Piano drops Marceau with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Marceau! Piano dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
