Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Erik Friedrichsen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 25 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruno Neves! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neves fails with an attempt to clinch.
Neves slips a straight right by Friedrichsen. Neves throws a predictable looking body shot
and Friedrichsen makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Friedrichsen feints and then cracks Neves's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Neves down. Neves thuds a left hand into Friedrichsen's body. Neves thuds a left hand into Friedrichsen's body. Friedrichsen misses with a wild combination.
Friedrichsen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Neves. Friedrichsen finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Bruno Neves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Friedrichsen lands a jab to Neves's midsection. Neves moves in looking to clinch but Friedrichsen pushes him off. Neves's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Neves duly obliges. Neves throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Friedrichsen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Friedrichsen misses with a looping left. Friedrichsen throws a hook to the side of Neves's head but Neves sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Neves shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Friedrichsen but Friedrichsen pushes him off and we're back to square one. Neves uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Friedrichsen. Neves moves into range and clinches up with Friedrichsen. Friedrichsen lands with a light punch inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neves goes for a takedown attempt but Friedrichsen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Friedrichsen lands a nice leg kick that just misses Neves's sensitive parts. Neves wants to clinch and Friedrichsen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Bruno Neves has been cut. Neves misses with a jab, cross combination.

Jab, jab by Neves - just one landing. Neves tries to clinch but Friedrichsen moves out of range. Neves lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Neves.

Friedrichsen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Friedrichsen fires out a quick counter leg kick but Neves just manages to avoid it. Neves misses with a few strikes there.

Neves lands with a good body shot. Friedrichsen swings away with a leg kick that misses. Friedrichsen stuffs the takedown attempt from Neves. Neves gets slowly back to his feet. Friedrichsen throws a body punch but Neves moves out of range. Neves goes for a double leg but Friedrichsen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Friedrichsen continues to drive forward. Neves fails with a takedown attempt. A telegraphed right hand from Neves misses the target. Neves blocks a leg kick. Friedrichsen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Friedrichsen does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Neves misses with a body punch
and Friedrichsen counters with a thumping low kick. No luck for Neves with that takedown attempt. Neves misses with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neves checks a leg kick nicely. Erik Friedrichsen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Neves misses with a few strikes there.
Neves throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Friedrichsen looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Neves looks like he wants to counter punch here. Neves misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Neves throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Friedrichsen connects with a right hand. Neves shakes it off. Neves's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Friedrichsen moves away from the strike by Neves. Friedrichsen misses with a hook. Neves ducked under it nicely. A looping hook to the body misses from Friedrichsen. Neves does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neves takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Neves tries to close the distance and clinch up but Friedrichsen swats him away and circles back towards the center. Friedrichsen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Neves throws out the jab. Friedrichsen half committed to a counter leg kick. Friedrichsen loads up on a big right hand but Neves slips the punch. A little jabbing left from Neves on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Neves connects with a body shot. Friedrichsen keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A slow jab from Neves misses its intended target. Friedrichsen throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Neves.
That has opened up Bruno Neves's cut even more. Neves tries to close the distance and clinch but Friedrichsen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Neves closes the distance and clinches up with Friedrichsen, looking for a takedown. Neves pushes Friedrichsen against the cage but Friedrichsen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. No luck for Neves with that takedown attempt. Friedrichsen appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Friedrichsen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Neves.
Friedrichsen misses with a hook. Neves ducked under it nicely. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Friedrichsen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Neves misses with a looping left. Neves gets a double leg takedown into Friedrichsen's guard. Friedrichsen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Erik Friedrichsen dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Neves shoots for a double leg takedown but Friedrichsen sprawls well. He's pushed Neves's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Neves takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Friedrichsen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Friedrichsen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Friedrichsen scores with a leg kick.
Friedrichsen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Friedrichsen throws out a loose jab but Neves uses good head movement to avoid it. Friedrichsen connects with a solid leg kick. Neves misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A looping hook to the body misses from Neves. Friedrichsen does a little dance to reset his feet. Friedrichsen dips to his left and cracks Neves with an uppercut! Friedrichsen thows a body kick. Neves tries to catch it but that hurt him. Friedrichsen throws a jab but it's blocked by Neves. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Friedrichsen, as that shot connected.
The cut above Bruno Neves's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Erik Friedrichsen is winning the standup battle so far. Friedrichsen misses with a straight right. Bruno Neves is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Friedrichsen swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Neves. Neves misses with a takedown and Friedrichsen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Neves bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Friedrichsen misses the target. Neves is looking to clinch. Friedrichsen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Neves's head.
Bruno Neves's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Neves shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Friedrichsen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Friedrichsen has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Neves is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Come on Friedrichsen - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Neves is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Stalling in the clinch from Friedrichsen.
