Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spinning Fire (ranked 1186 p4p, 1868 weight class) and Fedor Shabanov (ranked 170 p4p, 257 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fedor Shabanov!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Eliza Hachem and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

and Fire counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Spinning Fire overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Shabanov. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Fire keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shabanov's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fire looks up at the clock and then as Shabanov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Fire smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
