PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Evan Reynolds (ranked 5802 p4p, 7047 weight class) and Nick Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reynolds has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. On his way into the cage it seems that Evan Reynolds has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Evan Reynolds seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds is trying hard to land a takedown here. Law sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Law steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Reynolds .

and Law holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Law gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Reynolds working for a triangle but Law defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Law is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Law drops back looking for a leg! Reynolds is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reynolds manages to kick Law off! Law jumps back into Reynolds 's guard.

Reynolds had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Law defends it easily.

Law stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Reynolds with a poor takedown

and Law counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evan Reynolds . That's going to take a lot out of him.

Law has hold of one of Reynolds 's legs. Reynolds is fighting the takedown attempt but Law gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Law stands and steps away. Reynolds gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Reynolds shoots in looking for a takedown but Law manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reynolds 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Reynolds dives in for a single leg takedown but Law sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Law has hold of Reynolds 's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Reynolds tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Law cranks the arm and Reynolds screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Reynolds , who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
