With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lee Hayden!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Greene.
Hayden takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Greene gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Hayden counters by moving into the clinch.
Hayden misses with an elbow strike.
Greene takes a shot to the head.

Hayden manages to break the clinch.
Greene keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Greene throws a nice outside leg kick.
Nice body punch from Greene.
Greene lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Greene looks to land a combination but Hayden avoids it well.
Hayden takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hayden misses with a straight right.
Greene bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Hayden throws a hook but Greene blocks it.
Greene feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Greene throws a body shot but no joy.
Hayden walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Greene ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hayden moves away.
Greene misses the shot to the body.

Greene tries to keep at a distance but Hayden has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hayden swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hayden missing with knees to the body.
Greene is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Come on Hayden - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Greene wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Hayden is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Greene is defending well for now.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Greene is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hayden can do to turn this around?
Hayden's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Greene connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hayden scrambles back to his feet.

Greene pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hayden back to the cage. Greene follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Greene throws a looping overhand right but Hayden ducks down to avoid it.
Hayden only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Hayden counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hayden.
Greene is trying to force a seperation but Hayden has the dominant position.

Hayden's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hayden takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

and Hayden counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Hayden's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Hayden goes for a takedown in the clinch but Greene prevents it.
Greene gets underhooks to prevent Hayden's takedown attempt.
Greene tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hayden's elbow.
Hayden is trying to drag Greene to the mat but Greene just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hayden can't break the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Greene feints and then cracks Hayden's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hayden down.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Greene, as that shot connected.

Greene is looking to control Hayden's arms but Hayden gets an underhook and turns him. Now Greene has his back to the cage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hayden checks a leg kick nicely.
Despite the aggression on Hayden's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Greene cracks a nice hook into Hayden's ribs.
Greene tries to bum rush Hayden with a series of wild strikes but Hayden uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Charles Greene seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Greene throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Greene lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Greene misses with a wild combination.
Hayden changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Greene motions for Hayden to come forward. Greene throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Hayden throws a counter combo.

Greene does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A nice side step and Hayden releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Hayden avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Hayden is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Greene with a body shot.

Hayden lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Greene fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Hayden softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Hayden misses with a knee strike.
Greene managing to block the knees to the body from Hayden.
Lee Hayden has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Charles Greene is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Greene, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
