Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vern Vurris (ranked 764 p4p, 1345 weight class) and Steven Shewmaker (ranked 124 p4p, 198 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vern Vurris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Shewmaker!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vurris moves into the clinch.
Vurris struggles to land a body shot inside as Shewmaker controls his hands.
Shewmaker jumps guard.
Shewmaker looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Vurris puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Shewmaker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Vurris wants to pass the guard but Shewmaker is defending well.
Shewmaker is trying to maintain the position but Vurris is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vurris is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Vurris cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That has opened up Steven Shewmaker's cut even more.
Shewmaker tries to hold on but Vurris pushes him away.
Vurris is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Shewmaker to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Shewmaker shrugs it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vurris can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Shewmaker is looking to escape.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Shewmaker sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Vurris seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The cut above Steven Shewmaker's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Vurris winds up and cracks Shewmaker with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Steven Shewmaker's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Steven Shewmaker's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Vern Vurris!
