Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between King Simbolon (ranked 25661 p4p, 2105 weight class) and Dexter Jones (ranked 701 p4p, 266 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dexter Jones!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simbolon throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
King Simbolon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Simbolon clinches.

Simbolon breaks from the clinch.
A left and a right from Jones both land. Nice combination.
Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Simbolon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.

Simbolon darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage.

Simbolon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jones's coach down at Dodgers was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jones's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Simbolon has Jones up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Simbolon unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Simbolon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Simbolon darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage.
Simbolon lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jones backwards.
Jones is trying to pull guard but Simbolon turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
King Simbolon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dexter Jones.

Simbolon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Simbolon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Jones gets tackled into the cage by Simbolon. Simbolon maintains the clinch.
Jones takes a shot to the head.

Simbolon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Simbolon looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Simbolon instigates a clinch.
Jones jumps guard but Simbolon stands there with Jones around his waist. Jones gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Simbolon creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jones's defenses.

Simbolon lands a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Come on Simbolon - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Simbolon lands a nice uppercut.

Simbolon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Simbolon throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Simbolon closes the distance and clinches.
Jones tries to pull guard but Simbolon won't allow it.

The crowd cheers as Jones lands an impressive looking overhand right. Simbolon doesn't seem phased though.
Decent striking displayed by Jones there.
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Simbolon loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch.
Jones throws a body shot but no joy.
Jones tries to bum rush Simbolon with a series of wild strikes but Simbolon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Simbolon moves into range and clinches up with Jones.
Simbolon lands a left hand.
Simbolon lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Dexter Jones has been cut.

Simbolon ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Simbolon no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Jones stands and throws Simbolon's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Simbolon tries to buck Jones off but Jones is having none of it.

Jones working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Simbolon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Simbolon throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Simbolon is trying to get back to his feet.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Simbolon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Simbolon reaches up around Jones's neck trying to control. But Jones takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Simbolon! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Simbolon is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Jones celebrates the victory with the fans!
