Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between BIG GARLIN (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rey Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rey Nelson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
GARLIN throws a right and a left that Nelson avoids nicely.
BIG GARLIN seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nelson stuffs the takedown attempt from GARLIN. GARLIN gets slowly back to his feet.

Nelson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nelson showed some decent athleticism there.

Nelson seems to be looking for submissions.

Nelson wants to pass to mount but GARLIN is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
GARLIN is trying to maintain the position but Nelson is very close to passing his half guard.

Nelson passes the guard and advances to mount!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Nelson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
GARLIN can't escape the position.
GARLIN is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Nelson has taken his back!
GARLIN turns into Nelson and is now in his guard.

GARLIN has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Nelson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nelson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Nelson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. GARLIN doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. GARLIN manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rey Nelson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

GARLIN gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Nelson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in GARLIN's guard now.

Nelson has gone for a leg lock! GARLIN slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nelson's guard.

Nelson looking for a triangle here. GARLIN is fighting it but it looks tight! Nelson pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, GARLIN is tapping out - this one is all over!
