The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers scores with a jab to the body.
Meuneix lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Powers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Powers throws a combination that misses
and Meuneix cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Meuneix defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Powers.
Powers shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Meuneix to counter with a crisp jab.
Meuneix scores with a head kick.
Powers tries to clinch up but Meuneix circles away and keeps his distance.
Meuneix tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Powers tries to clinch there but Meuneix circles away.
Powers gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Meuneix connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Powers is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenny Powers. That's going to take a lot out of him.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Meuneix has cracked Powers with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Meuneix lands another huge swinging hook and Powers tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Powers, before Meuneix can land any more shots!
