Franz comes to the cage accompanied by Sandstorm. Both these guys have really solid chins. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pending sprawls well initially but Franz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Franz maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Pending could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Franz has cracked it and Pending is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Franz!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Joseph Franz!
Joseph Franz tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
