Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Welch (ranked 2831 p4p, 4027 weight class) and Ben Dover (ranked 366 p4p, 488 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Paul Welch has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Paul Welch seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welch throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Dover checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Dover throws a fast counter high kick but Welch manages to duck under it in time.
Dover slips under a jab.
A cross from Dover lands.
Welch turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Welch tries to bum rush Dover with a series of wild strikes but Dover uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dover counters with a body kick.

Welch forces Dover back against the cage and clinches.

Dover looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

As Dover tries to get set, Welch tries to push him back and clinch up but Dover manages to avoid the attempt.

Dover shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Welch lands with a hook. Dover tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Welch misses with a low kick as Dover jumps back.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Welch lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Dover has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Dover and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
